On December 25, an external evaluation committee meeting was held for the “US-Kagoshima-Asia Triad Program in A Multi-Polar World”, a project of Inter University Exchange Program, which is managed by the University’s Global Initiative Center was held online.

This meeting is held with the aim of monitoring the efforts and progress of the project, conducting evaluations to further improve the quality, reflecting the opinions in future education and research activities, and facilitate the appropriate and effective implementation of the project. The committee members include external evaluation committee members consisting of experts from diverse groups such as companies in the prefecture, local governments, and faculty members of other universities.

At the committee meeting, Director Masanori Baba (In charge of Research and International Affairs) gave an opening remark. Afterwards, the faculty member in charge of implementing the project at the University gave an presentation explaining the efforts and progress made during the project implementation period, as well as the issues to be discussed after the period.

In addition, a comprehensive assessment of the program was determined by dividing the program into nine categories and carrying out discussions for each category. We received extremely valuable feedback and advice for the project’s future direction, such as how to dispatch and accept students during the COVID-19 disaster.

Although facing a difficult situation with the COVID-19 disaster, we will strive to make the program go as smooth as possible, and continue to operate and improve our project based on the opinions and advice received from external evaluation committee members.
